Default proper way to remove box shadow

I'm using Twenty Ten wordpress theme and creating a child theme. The default css has box shadow in it I don't want displayed on my site. I've used

Code:
#access ul ul {
box-shadow: none;
-moz-box-shadow: none;
-webkit-box-shadow: none;
}
but it doesn't validate, the reason I'm removing it is because t doesn't validate so this defeats the purpose even though it works. Are there any alternatives to removing it without removing it from the original css?

Default Re: proper way to remove box shadow

It won't validate because the validator does not recognise CSS3 properties and rendering engine specific properties and rules.
Not a big deal at all, if it works in the browsers that handle CSS3 and degrades "nicely" in the browsers that don't, why even care about "validating".
