Hey all,
I wanted to invite the WeLoveCSS crowd to help test a new web-based manager that notifies you when a domain name or SSL certificate is about to expire. It was developed to be a simple notification system that warns you 90, 60, and 30 days and the day before something expires. There's also goodies like registrar, creation date, nameservers, raw whois info, etc. Right now, we're offering a free account that lets you manage up to 10 domains/SSLs. Larger plans will be offered down the road, but the 10 for free plan will always remain. I'd love it if you guys signed up, checked it out, and gave feedback. We're well-aware of some styling issues and bugs, but the system should work well overall. http://www.serverexec.com/

I'd love to help, but I don't run any SSL sites.
It does seem like a good idea though.

Hey meesa,
It's not just for SSL sites. You can actually manage either domain name expirations or SSL certificates....or both. I've reworded my original post to clarify that a bit. Thanks!

Ahh, okay. Are there really domain providers that don't warn you when your domain is about to expire? I've never seen one that didn't.

Absolutely. But we were running into the problem of too many things registered for too many people under too many registrars. If Cindy the secretary at Client XYZ is in charge of one of domain names, and she ignores the message thinking it's spam, we (the IT company) usually get blamed.
The idea here is to unify everything into 1 system to make it easier to manage and let us stay on top of it all.

I'll sign up and give it a try. If i get one more godaddy email notifying me my domains are going to expire in 7 months ~ i'll flip out on someone...
This may end up being a nice solution for my business. Thanks, Ryan. |
